This is a unique chessboard made of beautiful natural stones. But it's not just a functional stone game board. It's a specially designed and excellent crafted masterpiece of craftsmanship. The design combines modern features with references to antiquity. The board's external shape is inspired by the modern lines of ergonomic computer game consoles. After all, chess is a game, or rather, a very old strategic game, inspired by even earlier war games. For this reason, ancient maxims from the Roman Empire are used as decoration. During officer training for Roman Legions, playing strategic games like chess was a crucial part of the training to hone the future commander's strategic and tactical thinking skills. Out of respect for past generations, their knowledge, and courage, two famous ancient military maxims were included on this chessboard. They are still relevant. Ante victoriam ne canas triumphum – Don't celebrate before victory. This is a warning to the player and a reminder that the game is played to the very end and to the last move. We should remain vigilant, as our opponent may be luring us into a trap and we are playing according to his plan. Si vis pacem parabellum – If you want peace, prepare for war. This means that if you want to win, practice a lot. Learn new strategies. Get to know your opponent and find out what moves they like to use. Come to the game prepared. Additionally, this project combines two stones with opposing properties. The modest yet beautiful milky White Onyx, a very soft stone with a light-transparent quality, and its opposite – the very hard Verde Butterfly granite, whose dark structure shimmers with shades of gold reminiscent of precious minerals. This combination is complemented by a golden grout, which contains glass spheres within its structure. The entire piece, when exposed to light, creates a stunning effect with its shimmering stones. This is a handmade product made in limited quantities and made to order. The lead time for each piece is one month. Does not include playing pieces, but you can use your standard wooden pieces.
