The shape of our Stone Sushi Serving Plates draws inspiration from Japan's rich maritime culture, particularly Hokusai's iconic work "The Great Wave of Kanagawa". The dynamic, semi-circular form has been harmoniously transformed into the elegant lines of our sushi dishes. We applied the principles of the golden ratio and geometry when designing this collection.
Stone sushi dishes are also a choice consistent with the Japanese philosophy of respect for natural materials and their energetic properties. Investing in stone dishes is a choice of durability, elegance, and harmony with nature, perfectly harmonizing with the philosophy of Japanese culinary art.
The natural material -Volga Blue Labradorite, is a unique stone belonging to the group of igneous minerals and semi-precious stones. Itâs very hard and stain-resistant. The stone's dark color with blue reflections evokes the depths of the ocean, providing a perfect contrast to white rice and colorful ingredients. This allows the labradorite to create an elegant backdrop that perfectly highlights the colorful sushi ingredients and gives the meal a unique, luxurious feel.
These products are unique on the market and were first presented at the Munich Mineral Show in Germany in 2024. The design is reserved. There are no other similar sushi serving plates made of labradorite stones on sale worldwide.
